David joined the 14 News team in December of 1973 after working for the Evansville Courier and Press and WGBF-Radio.  David anchors the 5, 6 and 10 p.m. news with long time co-anchor Ann Komis.  David graduated from Bosse High School after attending Lodge Elementary and Glenwood Middle School.

David was editor of the student newspaper at the University of Evansville where he received his bachelor's degree in journalism and his master's degree in Humanities.  David has covered stories at home and abroad including a trip to the Ukraine to mentor employees at a privately-owned television station in Ternopil.

Besides anchoring and reporting, David is 14 News' managing editor.  

David is a life-long member of Fairlawn United Methodist Church and volunteers for a number of charitable and service organizations.  David is married to Susan.  The couple has a daughter, Lauren, and a cat named Harley.  All except Harley are active in Girl Scouts.  David's scout camp nickname is ‘Land Shark' because he takes the girls fishing.
